Since 2013, 100minds has raised over under €1million for Irish charities including Temple Street Children’s Hospital, Blossom Ireland, Barnardos and ISPCC. This amazing amount of money has had a phenomenal impact on the lives of thousands of children from all over Ireland who have accessed and continue to access these services on a daily basis.
In 2016, the programme moved permanently into Temple Street as an annual fundraiser for the hospital. Over the past two years alone, 100minds students raised over €243,000 to support a range of projects in Temple Street including a new satellite classroom for the neurosurgery ward.
Commenting on this year's programme, Chief Executive of Temple Street Foundation Denise Fitzgerald says, "100minds is a fantastic opportunity for ambitious young people looking to develop their project management and communications skills while also making a real difference in the lives of sick children. "
"And this year, funds raised by participants in the 100minds programme will be put to work to support the redevelopment of St. Philomena's Ward, by providing essential equipment from patient monitors and resuscitation equipment to patient entertainment centres. This support will simply transform the experience of hundreds patients each year. By signing up to 100minds, you will be joining the extraordinary circle of care that surrounds each sick child who comes to Temple Street. "
