“It's not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.” ― Mother Theresa
Myself, Jess John and I am currently pursuing MSc Buisness Analytics at University College Dublin. I am honoured and very excited to have been chosen to be a part of the 100minds team along with 49 other students across Ireland.
100minds is a social enterprise project founded in 2013. It brings together some of Ireland’s top college students and challenges them to achieve big goals for Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) at Temple Street in a short span of time. It connects students across Ireland with this very worthy cause and with a goal of raising €1,000 each in a creative and entrepreneurial way.
This year's target is to raise over €50,000 and hopefully far beyond that target. The money raised this year will be used to build a brand new Isolation Unit in the Haemodialysis Ward at CHI. The Haemodialysis Unit in CHI Temple Street is the one and only National Paediatric Haemodialysis Centre providing lifesaving dialysis 3-5 times per week for children from all over the country. At present only a single isolation cubicle is available which is inadequate as more than one child require isolation at a time. The new Isolation Unit will simply give the ability to isolate two children at the same time while they receive treatment. It will reduce a lot of rescheduling and interruptions particularly with Covid-19 pandemic.
A living proof that your donations matter is Bernard Óg. He was diagnosed with renal failure and his kidneys were shutting down when he was born. CHI at Temple Street was Bernard Óg’s home away from home.

All donations little or large will be greatly appreciated by myself and everyone else on the 2021 100minds team. I feel it's important to also point out that all proceeds (every single cent) go directly to CHI at Temple Street!
