For my first event, I have chosen to raise money for Temple street by swimming in the sea for the 12 days of Christmas, instead of the 12 pubs of Christmas. The purpose of this is to donate a fiver, the price of a pint, to a good cause, as we are all unable to go to the pub this year. I will ask people to join me in swimming over the moth of December, and to take a selfie, video or picture of themselves swimming while donating a fiver. If they are unable or unwilling to swim themselves, they can sponsor me to do the swim. I will post updates on the cause here.

This year I'm taking part in a fundraising event called 100 minds. This charity organisation challenges college students around the country to raise money for Temple Street Children's Hospital, Dublin. This really is an amazing cause. The work done by the fantastic team in Temple street, and the bravery of the children there is truly inspiring.
To raise money for these brave kids, I challenge you to take part in the "The 12 Swims of Christmas." As we cant go to the pub for Christmas this year, I suggest we put that pint money to good use. The challenge runs as follows:

1) Go for a swim at your local beach, pool or lake (As long as its safe!!)
2) Take a photo, selfie or video and upload it to your social media tagging this page with the hashtag #12swimsofchristmas.
3) Donate a fiver (The cost of one pint) to the link above.
4) Share this page with your family and friends. Feel free to nominate them to do it, for maximum effect!

And that's it! It's a few moments of cold and the price of a pint that could help change a kid's life!
