My name is Conor Houlihan, I'm currently in 2nd year studying sports strength and conditioning in Limerick institute of technology. I am one of 100 other students from across Ireland who have been chosen to take part in the 100 minds project.
100 minds is a social enterprise that was founded in 2013. It brings together 100 college students with the aim of raising €100,000 for temple street children's hospital, each student having the goal to raise €1,000 each. The money raised this year will be used to redevelop St. Philomena's ward. This is a special ward that deals with a variety of sick children everyday, ranging from a child with broken bones to a child with a long-term illness.
Over the next 100 days I will come up with various different ideas/events to raise money for Temple street and achieve my goal of raising €1,000. I also hope to go well beyond this target. The Temple street cause was my main motivation for applying for 100 minds. Children with sickness and illness are extremely vulnerable so to be able to raise money for Temple street was an opportunity that I definitely wanted to be involved in.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, all donations are massively appreciated and every donation goes a long way for an amazing cause.
