Hi guys, thank you so much for visiting my 100minds page!
My name is Naoise Concannon and I'm a 2nd year student studying Creative Computing in IADT. I'm really excited to be taking part in the 100minds programme this year, and I can't wait to get started.
100minds is a project that connects college students with young professionals to assist them in gaining project management experience through charitable fundraising. Over the past three years it has raised close to €1 million for Irish children’s charities. .
100minds was founded by Declan Egan in 2013 with the aim of raising €100,000 for Temple Street. The idea proved to be even more successful than hoped, raising a staggering €138,000 for the beloved children’s hospital. Since then, 100minds has worked to support three more children’s charities – Barnardos Ireland, Blossom Ireland and ISPCC Childline – growing significantly in the process and generating €138,000 in year one, €247,000 in year two and a massive €570,000 in year three. 100minds will now return to its roots to become an annual fundraiser, helping to raise funds for vital equipment and patient supports in Temple Street.
Every cent raised goes straight into the Temple Street Hospital bank account and couldn't be going towards a better cause. Last year the money went towards creating a new satellite classroom for St.Gabriel's Ward in Temple Street. This year the money is going towards new life-saving equipment for the children in Temple Street.

Battle of The Bands
Posted: about 5 years ago
Hi Guys,
Just an update on everything, as it's very close to the deadline and I've finally hit my target of €1000! It's been amazing to be a part of 100 minds and to witness all the cool and creative ways that people decided to try and raise money. I was getting quite worried as mid-january myself and my friend who I had decided to co-organise my main event with hadn't much planned but as it turned out the battle of the bands was a huge success!
We hosted the event in Whelan's who were kind enough to give us the upstairs at a discounted price as their donation. We got four amazing bands to participate who all donated their time for free. Buckshot Amber, The Felonies, One Way and NV all brought a great ambiance and their whole fanbase along which was amazing! The businesses who were kind enough to donate raffle prizes for the night including Tesco, Korky's, Nandos, Boojum, ZipIt, Squirell Scramble, Inglot, Mooch, The Guinness Storehouse and so many others helped put us over the edge, with the raffle bringing in €300 by itself.
We could not have been more grateful to everyone who came out and supported us, we managed to get 120 people there on the night which was amazing and we ended up raising €1340 from the night, which put me past my €1000 target at last!
