Hey! My name is Conor Ryan and I am a 2nd year Economics and Finance student in UCD. I am delighted to have been chosen for the 100 minds programme this year and I am determined to make this wonderful opportunity a successful one (and smash the 1000-euro target!).
Temple Street children’s hospital is a place that is very close to my heart. I was admitted to Temple Street when I was 3 years old in a critical condition after ingesting harmful medication. I was put on life support for 24 hours and if it wasn’t for the incredible constant care and attention of the Temple Street staff I may not have been here today. I see the 100 minds programme as a brilliant way for me to give back something to Temple street children’s hospital and help them to continue their amazing and life-saving work.
This year your invaluable donations will help Temple Street in three different ways, namely; The purchase of state of the art life-saving equipment, The Hope Fund which provides patient and parental support, Play Therapy which plays a vital role in creating a non-clinical, fun environment for the children of Temple Street.
I will post regular updates regarding my future fundraising projects so be sure to check in every few weeks. Any donation however big or small is greatly appreciated. Every cent donated will go directly to the Temple Street Foundation. Together we can enhance the lives of some of the sickest children and their families in Ireland!
