My name's Andrea and I'm a second year Business and Law student in UCD. For the next 100 days, until February 15th, I'm hoping to raise €1,000 for Temple Street Children's Hospital.
This past summer I volunteered with UCD Volunteers Overseas in Tanzania for 4 weeks teaching English and computer skills in Mhovu Primary School. After such an amazing experience, I wanted to work on a project closer to home, and 100minds has been the perfect opportunity to allow me to do so.
We aim to raise €100,000 for Temple Street Hospital, with the funds raised going towards three very worthy causes - providing life-saving equipment, supporting the families of sick children, and helping to give the children in Temple Street a childhood alongside their Play Therapy Department.
Temple Street looks after 145,000 children every year. Every day, their patients fight for their lives. Read about some of their amazing stories here: https://www.templestreet.ie/about/our-patients/
100minds is an amazing initiative, with all money raised going directly towards the Temple Street Children's Hospital Foundation. To find out more about the impact that this year's project will have, check out here: http://www.100minds.org/impact
