Hello Everyone, Welcome to my 100 minds profile!! My name is Sarah Rose Mulvihill. I am a NUIG final year commerce student and I am absolutely THRILLED to have been chosen to participate in this years 100minds funraiser!
I wanted to be apart of this fantastic charity event for many reasons. Firstly I was inspired by Founder Declan Egan and was eager to join him and Temple street Foundation to help in whatever way I could in spreading awareness and taking part. Their efforts have generated hundreds of thousands of euros for the children that desperately need the help. The cause truly resonated with me on a personal level.
Secondly, I find it an amazing opportunity that us college students have been given the opportunity with 100 minds to apply ourselves to genuinely make a difference in society and to the lives of others. We are given the chance to take on that extra responsibility, not only to challenge ourselves, but to help us inspire each other to make better use of all the resources available in order to do some good for others. By taking on the task of fund-fundraiseing we are developing skills and gaining access to an entire network of people who before were just a strange bunch of adult professionals that we did not associate ourselves with.
With less than half way to go, I am very excited to put all my planning into place and produce the results of what has been an eye opening, gratifying and worth while adventure that I am massively honoured to have been apart of.
