A Little about Temple Street Children's Hospital and 100Minds:

100 minds is a social enterprise founded in 2013, with the aim of supporting various children's charities across Ireland. This year 100 minds are raising funds for temple street children's hospital who are now the owners of the great format which hand selects 100 students who are given 100 days to raise a minimum of 1000€ each using various methods of fundraising. So please get behind this amazing cause and support a hospital which cares for its patients in more than a health sense as some of these children are in and out of hospital for years of their lives. This year temple street has highlighted education as their main aim for the funds raised as they hope to install a satellite classroom into a ward which is home to some of the sickest children in its facility. Something as simple as going to school is massive for these children as it firstly adds some normality and structure into there lives which because of illness are anything but normal. Also it allows the children a chance to leave their rooms which they are normally bed bound in because of the need to be hooked up to many machines. This can only come as something to look forward to, not to mention the impact it has on a child's confidence and self esteem.

About me:

My name is Robert Byrne I am an engineering student in Dublin City University from Ballymurn in county Wexford. I applied and joined 100minds this year as I wanted to give back, and I thought that 100minds gave me the best opportunity to do so . It is such a great opportunity to raise funds for a worthy cause like temple street that I couldn't turn it down.
