Hi everyone!

Welcome to my 100minds fundraising profile page. This is the one stop shop to find out more about me, why I decided to get involved in this wonderful initiative and to follow my journey towards reaching my fundraising target of €1000 for Temple Street Children's Hospital. All funds raised this year will go towards the construction of a new satellite classroom in St Gabriel's Ward in the hospital, which specialises in neurosurgery and craniofacial surgery. This classroom will give more children in the hospital the opportunity to get an education and reach their potential, despite being hindered by illness. It will also help to provide some normality and structure to the hectic and sometimes traumatic lives of the children, their parents and the staff.

I am a third year business student at Dublin City University and this year, as part of my degree, I am on a year long work placement with Opel Ireland in their head office in Sandyford.

I first heard about 100minds from a friend last year who took part in it and since I first heard about it, I have had an insatiable 'itch' to get involved and take part in this fantastic programme. The chance to be a part of this voluntary organisation that is still in its infancy and yet in its three year lifespan, has raised upwards of €800,000, was an opportunity I simply could not pass up. The real world experience that I will gain from organising events from start to finish will help to better prepare me for the rigours of the working life when I graduate and this, 'on the job' experience will hopefully make me more attractive to potential employers.

What really attracted me to 100minds was not just the chance to raise much needed funds for such a great cause but also the opportunity to network and learn from successful graduates employed by the likes of Google and Deloitte to name but a few.

I really feel privileged and honoured to be one of the 120 students across Ireland to be picked to take part in 100minds and make no mistake, I will put everything I have into this endeavour and it would really mean the world to me if you could donate by clicking the 'Donate Now' button above. Any and all donations will be much appreciated by myself, the staff and patients at Temple Street Children's Hospital.

For more information on myself you can check out my LinkedIn and Facebook profiles, the profile URLs can be found above.
