Hello everyone!
Welcome to my 100Minds donations page. Just by clicking the DONATE NOW button, you can make a huge difference…
I am taking part in the social enterprise 100Minds which brings together 100 college students each given the target to raise €1000 for Temple Street Children’s Hospital. The money will create a satellite classroom for the children in St. Gabriel’s ward, which specialises in neurosurgery and craniofacial surgery. These children often spend very long periods of time in their beds and to be able to receive an education in a stimulating environment will transform their lives completely.
I am delighted to have been chosen to fundraise for Temple Street and I believe it is a wonderful cause. Any donations, big or small, will make a huge difference and would be very much appreciated! Just click the "DONATE NOW" button! In only a matter of seconds your money will be sent directly to the bank account of Temple Street Children's hospital. If you have any queries or concerns please don't hesitate to e-mail or facebook message me at nicholedeleeuw@gmail.com https://www.facebook.com/nichole.deleeuw

Stephen's Day Races Champagne Reception
Posted: over 5 years ago
For my next fundraising event my good friend and fellow 100Minds participant Ana O'Sullivan and I decided to host a Champagne morning before the Leopardstown Races on Stephen's Day. Ana kindly offered to host the event in her house. We organised a raffle with some really great prizes. We also got Paddy Power on board with us. They kindly donated 5 free races tickets to us and 2 €100 free betting vouchers which we included in the raffle. Many supermarkets donated two or three bottles of champagne to us. Our parents and family friends also donated a few bottles, so there was plenty for everyone on the day. A big thank you to Sound Hire in Ranelagh for letting us use a great sound system and HireAll in Sandyford who let us rent 100 champagne flutes, all for free in the name of charity. The last thing we had to organize was the party bus from Ana's house to Leopardstown. We found a party bus company who were willing to charge passengers only €5. On the day, guests paid €10 at the door. We even got sponsorship for light food for the morning. There were 0 overheads for this event. It was a great success and everybody really enjoyed their day. I was very humbled by the generosity of all the businesses and people who helped us to make this day work so well.
Open-Mic Night
Posted: over 5 years ago
For my final fundraiser I decided to host an open-mic night in UCD Clubhouse alongside the UCD Music Society. My friend is the event manager on the society so we worked side by side to organise it all. We designed posters and printed them and stuck them all over campus. We made a Facebook event page too, so there was a great turn out on the night. For my part, I organised a raffle and went around selling tickets. Raffle prizes included Tropical Popical vouchers, grafton barber vouchers, €50 Little Cabanas restaurant voucher, Elverys sports voucher, 2 beauty hampers, 10 INGLOT make up lessons and a wine/prosecco hamper, all donated for free! I am so thankful to all these businesses who were so generous and helped me with my raffle. The night was a great success and I raised €220 for Temple Street bringing me above and beyond my target!
The laughter lounge
Posted: over 5 years ago
My mentor told me about this easy and fun way of fundraising which I jumped at the opportunity to take part in. The laughter lounge is a venue in Dublin City which hosts charity nights on Thursdays. You buy tickets from them at a discounted price of €5 each and sell them to friends at their usual price of €20, making lots of profit for your charity. Unfortunately, this event was very short notice for me. I only had a little less than a week to gather friends together to go. However, I believed that it would make some money for Temple Street and is better than nothing. I was then surprised at the amount of friends who showed interest in attending. I partnered up with another 100minds applicant to bring 25 people each. This turned out to be a very successful night and very enjoyable for all. The laughter lounge team were very helpful and I had nothing else to do than to sell the tickets!
Babysitting

I decided it would be a great idea to donate my babysitting money to Temple Street. I babysit quite often and I figured that every little helps!
