Hello ! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and to read my 100minds page.
My name's Bona Mae Patlong and I'm a final year business student in DCU. I feel blessed to be able to participate in 100minds, an initiative that creates real ripples of much needed change and positive impact to those that society needs to care about yet sometimes forget.
100minds is an initiative whereby 100 students are chosen and challenged to raise €1,000 for Temple St. Children's Hospital. This year your donations will be able to make a positive and solid impact in the lives of the patients in Temple St. Children's Hospital, through the construction of a new satellite classroom for the children of St. Gabriel's ward. The children in this ward undergo serious treatments, such as neurosurgery, which doesn't allow them to go far from their ward to attend school.
This is an important change because it will help these children keep some sense of normality as they go through their treatment. Moreover, by receiving education while in hospital, it will be easier for them to integrate back into their normal school life, and as the Temple St. Hospital teacher will be able to give the child's normal teacher an update of what the child has learned.
Every donation goes a long way towards helping these children. This is your chance to contribute to a tangible change, and show that people do care and that these kids' lives do matter. Remember, "a penny makes a pound" so every any amount you can give will go a long way.
Thank you!

#1 Social Drive
Posted: over 5 years ago
Unfortunately I was late in starting my fundraising campaign because I was a bit overwhelmed with assignments and deadlines. Meeting with my mentor really helped me get started and break my plan down into manageable chunks.
To start off my fundraising campaign, I first shared my 100minds page on all the social platforms that I was on, such as Facebook groups or LinkedIn published post. This garnered a more positive result that I thought it would, thankfully.
I'm grateful for all those who donated, from friends, family, secondary school classmates to university mates. The Christmas spirit of giving is really still alive.
