Hey! My name is Adriana and I’m a final year student studying Tourism Management at DIT. This year I am delighted and fortunate to be one of the 100 students chosen to participate in 100minds campaign.
100minds is a non profit organisation that brings together some of Ireland's top undergraduate students and connects them with one cause to achieve big goals in a short space of time. By taking on 100 of Irelands top undergraduates and challenging them to raise €1,000 each, we set ourselves the goal of collectively generating €100,000 in a lean and transparent way.
The chosen charity for this year is Temple Street Children’s Hospital in Dublin.
My goal is to raise €1000 towards building a satellite classroom for St. Gabriel’s Ward, which looks after some of the most vulnerable patients. This classroom will provide children with the opportunity to learn and reach their potential as many children need constant care and are unable to leave the hospital, they miss a lot of work at school. Learning in quiet, stimulating environment that this classroom will provide, will have a huge impact on those children while they are in hospital and when they return to their everyday life.
