Hey Guys,
I have decided to take part in this incredible opportunity to help raise money for Childline. The target is €1,000 however, it is my aim to greatly exceed this amount.
For those of you who haven't heard of 100minds, it is a social enterprise that challenges some of Ireland's top third level students to individually raise money for charity. This year's chosen charity is Childline.
Childline gives children the opportunity to contact them 24/7. However last year, due to a lack of funds, Childline was almost forced to end it's 24/7 service. Raising enough money to help keep the service 24/7 is a constant challenge faced by Childline.
The aim of the 100minds organisation this year is to raise €1,000,000 to help Childline continue to support and protect young children and teenagers.
So although I am working full time, and studying part-time, I have decided to get out of my comfort zone and give myself a good kick up the behind and help make a difference. I would be incredibly grateful to those who are willing to donate, and with your help, enable me to reach (exceed!) my target.
On April 7th, I will be hosting a cookery demonstration in Aviva, alongside a tutor from Ballymaloe Cookery School. Tickets are €10 and unfortunately, the event is only open to staff.
However, I have also arranged for there to be a raffle. I have managed to pull together some excellent prizes, including;
