Hi Everybody My name is Will Connors and im delighted to be taking part in 100 minds for this year. I am currently in my first year of computer science in UCD. This year im looking to raise much needed funds and awareness for the great cause of Childline. This is a 24 hour service that looks to give children an opportunity to be listened to and has proven to be a service that has helped thousands of children all over Ireland throughout the years. In recent years funding to Childline has been cut and consequently they have struggled to keep Childline going almost having to take away the night-time service last year. I see this as a real opportunity to make a difference and by contributing my small part to 100 minds overall goal could mean more calls will answered giving Childline the funding it needs and deserves. I am currently planning out some fund raising projects that I hope to be a success. Childline is an essential service to this country. So please help to keep it going, any donation would be much appreciated. Thank you.

The race night proved to be a huge success In the end and with help from fellow 100 minds participant nick peters the night ran smoothly. We both put a lot of time and effort into the preparation of the night by organising sponsors and selling horses prior to the night. This meant that on the night the bulk of the money had been raised and we earned anther small bit from from the tote. The night was great craic and there was a huge turnout. We had a dj playing between each race which generated some great vibes and also had free passes into a night club for after. We also had some great prizes on offer for the winners of each race. These included a €50 sweet republic voucher, dominos vouchers and some other great prizes. From what I heard everyone seemed to enjoy the night and also got very involved in the races themselves. I found it all to be a great experience and Learned an awful lot from my mentor. It was great to see how generous people were and how many people offered to help on the night. I would like to thank all the sponsors for the generous donations they made, without them the night with never have been possible. Thanks W
