I'm thrilled to announce that I've raised €4605 for ISPCC Childline. This means that I'm in the top 5 UCD and the overall top 10 100minds fundraisers.
It has been a great learning experience which has taught me many things, such as managing a group of people and organising large events. Monetising my web design pastime brought with it project management tasks and deadlines.
I would like to thank Caroline McDevitt for all the support, both with 100minds and career related advice, and also Declan Egan for supporting me with my 100minds projects.
With a total of €570,000 raised for ISPCC Childline I'm proud to have been a part of this great fundraiser.
Today marks the final week we can accept donations on our 100Minds account for ISPCC Childline.
It's been a great journey so far, something which I expand upon in my previous blog post with many learning opportunities. The latest of which is the unfortunate cancellation of the Battle of The Bands we were planning. This has provided me with many key learning points related to planning and managing a team of people, and organising events on a bigger scale.
My final goal for 100Minds is to breach the 4000 euro point before Friday 15th. You can contribute by pressing the donate now button on my page, let's make it happen!
It's been 107 days since we started our fundraiser campaigns to support ISPCC's Childline. 100minds has offered us many great learning opportunities, from the 100minds academy, to networking events with big employers. Most importantly it has provided us with the opportunity to apply our skills to real life situations.
My campaign relied mostly on my ability to design websites, however before 100minds I did not have a solid portfolio. With the Battle of The Bands I've been responsible for the digital marketing strategy and most of the logistics regarding getting it all set-up. Social media is more daunting than I thought for a company or an event.
Using Piktogram I've created an infographic to show what I've been up to these past few months.https://magic.piktochart.com/output/11592321-my-100minds-experience
Let's hit that 3000 euro target, and then on to 4000 euro!
I'm very excited to announce an event which I'm organising with two other 100minds participants (Emmet Carey and Milton Omena) called "Battle of The Bands". It'll be held at The Grand Social, March 31st at 8pm until 11pm and is set out to be a night full of music, banter and loads of fun.
Tickets are €10 online and €15 at the door, we've also planned future potential raffles before the event.

Seven days after introducing the €2000 stretch goal I am pleased to announce that I have successfully managed to raise the additional money. However, I will continue to raise as much money as possible by doing the same things as before (Web Design, IT Support and consultancy).
The 100Minds academy has been introduced to us as well, providing students with even more opportunities to discuss vital CV and job application strategies with market leading companies such as LinkedIn and others.
