Hi all,

My names Maria and I'm a 3rd year commerce student in UCD but I am currently completing a year internship in finance at Microsoft.

The 100minds initiative has succeeded and grown exponentially over the last two years from a €100,000 target in 2013 to an incredible €1,000,000 in 2015. I am incredibly humbled to part of this and to have the chance to truly make an impact.

ChildLine is the amazing charity that 100 minds is supporting this year and €1,000,000 can help them more than I think any of us could ever imagine. The ChildLine phone service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. They receive thousands of calls every year. These are answered by volunteers and staff who are trained to listen and understand young people. The money that is raised gives the entire youth of Ireland a chance to be heard and be listened to. This money will allow ChildLine to keep their continuous service to listen to children and teenagers when they need it most and so they are never left feeling alone in this world.
