Welcome to King John’s #BeatTheBlaze challenge for Childline donation page.
My name is George Egleston and I am a final year student specialising in Business with Marketing and Management in Limerick Institute of Technology. I hope to complete a Masters in Marketing Practice at UCD Smurfit Business School for 2017.
The event will take place in King Johns Castle - a historic landmark in Limerick City Centre on Saturday 12th March, 2016. 10 companies will select 5 members of staff to represent their workforce in a motivational training session, which will lead to a ‘walk on fire’ challenge.
An additional 20 Personalities from the world of Business, Education, Fashion and Sports will be selected to walk on fire, and will be announced on our various social media events pages in the build up to the night.
This is a team building and empowering experience for the participants and has the makings of a memorable night out for colleagues, friends and family.
BeatTheBlaze is not only a ‘fire walk’ so to speak, but also a night full of entertainment. There will be live music, a DJ, Fire Breathers and on going surprises will be announced by MC – Daragh Frawley throughout the night.
Complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be available on arrival and there will be an after party in Limerick City.
Every cent of the money raised from our #BeatTheBlaze challenge will help ensure that Childline’s phones remain open 24/7. If Childline could not continue to provide these services, many children would effectively be forced into silence.
Why Childline?
100minds connects 3rd level students with a chosen charity and encourages them to run fundraising projects that will help develop their skill set and apply their theoretical learning from college in a practical manner. The 100minds goal is to raise €1,000,000 for Childline in 2015/16, which will go a long way in helping them reach the target of the €3.5 million needed annually.
I hope to see new and familiar faces on the night. Please purchase a ticket or donate. The smallest contribution can make the difference!
Pre-sale tickets cost €5. Tickets sold at the door on the night will cost €10.
