My name is Ben Kelly, I am in 3rd year currently studying B.Sc (mgmt.) Business and Management, Dublin Institute of Technology, and I am delighted to be part of the 100Minds team this year.
100minds is a social enterprise which was set up in 2013, which brings together innovative and talented students across many backgrounds, all with the goal of raising much needed funds for a chosen charity. The students are encouraged to raise€1000 by running different fundraising projects which require them to apply and develop their own personal skill set. This year, 100minds has decided to recruit 1000 top students to collectively raise €1,000,000.
This year's chosen charity is ISPCC Childline. Last year, ISPCC launched an emergency appeal as it as in danger of losing its nightline service due to extreme funding issues. Emergency funding was luckily able to be secured however the long term problem still remains. With this essential funding, 100,000 voices will now be heard.https://www.childline.ie/index.php/about-us/12 - This link will take you to the Childline website for information and what this great charity is all about.
As of now, I am currently brainstorming ideas and have a few projects that will be underway in the coming weeks. I will be keeping everyone updated on my progress on my fundraising. Any donations made through the my 100minds page will go directly to Childline, providing all the essential training and services for children to be heard.
This is a really great cause and any donation made big or small is greatly appreciated. Thanks for visiting my 100minds profile page and I hope everyone can support this remarkable cause!
