My name is Andrew and I'm currently attending Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology. I've just started my third year of a Bachelor in Business and Applied Entrepreneurship, and I'm excited to announce that I'm part of a 1000+ third level student's to take part in one of Ireland's largest single fundraising events.
This year 100 minds is raising money for the much needed and very important ISPCC children's 24 hour confidential service Childline. Last year due to the huge running costs, the ISPCC almost had to close this service. Thanks to an emergency appeal at the last minute they managed to stay open, but this isn't enough, they need sustained support in order to keep it, and with almost 500,000 calls taken last year, it is vital we come together in order to make sure it can continue.
Throughout the next couple of months I will be organizing several different events in my community and surrounding areas.
Our aim is to raise €1 Million through many different fund raising events dotted throughout Ireland. Each student has been given a personal goal of €1,000. And this is where you guys come in, by donating through this site or attending and donating in person at one of several events I am organizing you will help our team to reach our goal and keep the phone's open at all times for another year.
