My name's Andrew Burke and you're very welcome to my 100minds page. 100minds provides an opportunity for students to develop their entrepreneurial skills by fundraising for worthy charities such as Temple Street Children's Hospital (€138,000 in 2013), Barnardos and Blossom Ireland (€247,000 in 2014) and now Childline (ISPCC) in 2015, with the largest target to date, €1,000,000.
I'm currently a graduate student in University College Dublin studying Management Consultancy. I decided to join the 100minds team to challenge myself with a practical project for charity. Childline is a brilliant cause that needs worthy funds and this opportunity will help me learn while raising money for a deserving organisation at the same time.
I have joined up with two other 100minds participants and together we will be running a tag rugby event on the 9th of April in Limerick. The event will aim to connect graduates and young professionals with local businesses in a fun and active social setting. We would like to raise the profile of 100minds in Limerick and bring people from outside of Limerick into the city through sport. We aim to have 200 players involved in the event on the day and many more attendees for the celebrations that night.
