My name is Alan Fitzgerald and I am a third year Business and Management student in Dublin Institute of Technology. Myself and my friend Anna created, organised and ran a Lip Sync Battle at the Russell Court Hotel in November for the 100minds fundraising campaign. We were delighted to have the opportunity to be apart of such a wonderful organisation/campaign, and we can proudly say that we raised as much as we could for ChildLine, gaining valuable experience along the way.
Taking some of my knowledge gained from the lip sync battle, I decided to run a music night in February at home in county Waterford. I held it in the Wreck Bar in tramore, which was free, and my brother, a DJ, played house music throughout the night. I charged €5 on the door and got a great crowd. Everyone had a ball and it was a great success all round!
