Hi - and Welcome to my 100minds Profile page.
My name is Sean Drummond and I’m a second year student studying Electronic & Electrical Engineering in UCD. I had heard about the 100 minds organisation last year and thought it was a fantastic idea, so I made sure that this year I got involved! Getting to network with other like-minded individuals, gaining valuable project management and fundraising experience, all while raising money for charity is something I feel privileged to be able to do.
The goal of 100 minds is for young 3rd level students and recent graduates to collectively raise €150,000 for Blossom Ireland (http://www.blossomireland.ie/) and Barnardos(http://www.barnardos.ie/). These two charities greatly benefit the lives of children in Ireland, and I know that any money I raise will make a huge impact on the lives of many children.
I hope to contribute as much as I possibly can towards these two charities and have big plans to do it. I hope to further the skills I gained from setting up my own business (http://missiontuition.ie/) to do this.
I'm going to use this profile page and my twitter account (https://twitter.com/seandrum95) to keep updates on my progress and let everyone know how it's going.
All of the money I raise will be going directly to the charities, where it will benefit many people! Any donation, no matter how large or how small will be much appreciated - it's all going to a worthy cause.
Donating is simple and easy. Please just click the red ‘Donate Now’ button in the top right corner of your screen. If you leave your name while donating I can show my appreciation by spreading the word of your generosity through social media.
To contact me directly email sean.drummond@ucdconnect.ie.
Thanks, Sean
Target Reached and Surpassed

I am delighted to say that I have not only reached the target of €1000, but smashed it by raising almost €4000!
In late February I held a themed night in one of Dublin's newest venues Hangar. The night attracted huge publicity through Facebook due to marketing and promotional skills I used and was a huge success on the night. A link to the Facebook event is here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1569986803242528/
I am very proud to have been a participant in the 100minds initiative as I know that all the money I raised will be going directly to charity and will help people in need.
Being the project manager behind my own event was a challenge, but taught me good skills in communication, negotiation, time management and organisation. I can definitely say that it has been worth my while.
In total 100minds raised €247,000 in 2015, and I am delighted to have contributed towards it.
