This idea I am really enthusiastic about. Would love to rent out a venue and have a "Craft Beer Night". Craft beer is massive at the moment and if i did it around Christmas time it could cater for the 12 pubs of Christmas and attract good numbers. Just worried only lads would turn up. What do people think?

Thinking of copying the Blind Date format and running "Blind Date 4 Barnardos and Blossom". Potentially a drinks reception after and onto a Dublin City nightclub. Sure may as well make a full night out of it! Interested to hear what people think

Looks like my craft beer night will go ahead in either December or January. The plan is free craft beer tasting, raffle and live music! Great interest from everyone I've talked to so far and especially the craft beer companies themselves. In the mean time I'll keep you posted with further developments and dates.

Today is the last day of my 100minds journey so I thought I'd finish up with a reflective final update. My "Charity Craft Beer Night" far exceeded my original expectations and I managed to raise €1,250 for Bernardos and Blossom Ireland from the night alone!

100minds has been a very enjoyable and rewarding experience for me personally. I have gained useful knowledge in areas such as event management, marketing, promotion and innovation but most importantly contributed to an amazing team effort and raised a large sum for two great charities Bernardos and Blossom Ireland children's charities. These funds will have a massive , positive effect for many children around Ireland.

Finally I would like to thank all the people that helped me along the way. I would like to thank Declan Eagan for selecting me as part of the 100minds team and my mentor Cian Kennedy for all his assistance and patience throughout. Also I would like to thank all my friends and family members that supported me with my fundraising over the last few months.

I would highly recommend all third level students to try and get involved in 100minds it is a truly unique and beneficial student initiative.

Bit later than originally planned but my craft beer night is going ahead on the 16th of Feb at JW Sweetmans Craft Beer Pub. Free craft beers, free finger food, a raffle with relevant prizes and an informative craft beer tasting session before onto a nightclub after. Facebook event and ticket sales should be up by the end of the week and hopefully be a good bit of craic!
