The Beginning

How's it going everyone,
Welcome to my 100 Minds page! I will keep you all up to date on my brainstorming and the event from here so please visit the page regularly!
This year, 100 Minds are coming together to fundraise for the excellent charities that are Barnardos and Blossom, who do fantastic work for the children of Ireland who don't have as fortunate a childhood as most of us. Needless to say, I'm so excited to contribute to the excess of €150,000 that will be going directly to these worthy charities.
Currently I am brainstorming for the event that I will hold. I'm thinking big in order to give as much to these charities as possible, but also to give an enjoyable event to all you who will be donating.
First post is a bit long just to introduce, sorry about that, but I'll keep them short as the weeks go on so do come back to the page!
Cheers, Kev
First Donations

Hey guys,
Huge shoutout to Jack Doyle, Rachel Cosgrove, Harry O'Callaghan and Kaytlin Chaloner for their incredibly generous first donations! Great start to the project that I really wasn't expecting. An even bigger shoutout to the generous soul that is 'Master Debater 69' who is so modest that he wishes to remain unnamed. Keep those healthy donations coming pal xo
Brainstorming is still the process at the minute. Have some big ideas that I'd love to do but trying to think about the logistics behind them first. Don't want to give away too much incase some cunning entrepreneur capitalises and sticks the profit in their back pocket. Feel free to contact me if you have any venues or ideas at your disposal!
Also, check out all the other 100 minds profiles and get a real feel about the project!

Finalising Event

Hows it going all,
This week's shoutout goes to the very generous Emma Cosgrove, Chris Kenny, Mark Mitchel and Laoise Fitzgerald! Fundraising is going well. My goal is to have all fixed costs of my event fundraised through donations so please donate.
That brings me to my event. I have my plan and I am currently finalising the venue and date. Check in to my profile over the next few days to find out what it is!
Keep in mind the brilliant charities Barnardos (http://www.barnardos.ie) and Blossom (http://www.blossomireland.ie) that will benefit from all your donations through all 100 Minds participants profiles . Attend as many events as possible!

The Event

Hows it going guys, Haven't posted in a while but happy christmas and happy new year.
First of all I have a few late thank yous to give to Fionn O'Shea, Sean O'Brien, Alice Shanahan and Eoin Galligan for their very generous donations. I understand college life is hard on the pocket so every donation is much appreciated. Every euro donated goes directly to Barnardos and Blossom and makes a big difference in the lives of young children in Ireland.
Finally I have finalised my event. On the 10th of February, I hope to see you all in Hangar on Andrews Lane for a silent disco. In purchasing your ticket, you will be allowed entry and supplied with the headset for the disco. This is a unique event that is normally only done at festivals. Seeing as we're in between two festival seasons, I decided to have one. I've organised some sweet drink deals and the whole night won't put a dent in your pockets. The event will be going up on Facebook in the next few days and ticket sales will begin through eventbrite.ie. Full details will be available on the event page.
Big shoutout to Hangar for allowing me host the event and for headphones.ie in provided the vital headsets. Also, check out Campus.ie, a fantastic website that will help us all through college!
Cheers!

Hows it going guys,
Thanks a million to everyone who came along last Tuesday, safe to say it was a strange but pretty sweet night.
Shoutout to Housemates DJs who were quality all night long! I'll be uploading a video to show how strange it was with the headphones off.
A few donations have come in recently that I haven't thanked yet. Big shoutout to Anna Roopnarinesingh, Briain McGeary, Michael Mitchell, Emily McCollum, Ellen D'Arcy and Simon Curran for such generous donations!
In all the drinks, headphones and music, we can forget that all of this was in aid of Barnardos and Blossom Ireland, two incredible charities. Charity work doesn't have to be tedious... Funds can be generated for charities by enjoyable events. My total fundraised for the night is looking like around €2500, all of which will go directly to the charities! Everyone donated by attending the event, so I encourage you to go to as many remaining 100minds events as possible!
Thanks again for all the support, Please donate to my account in this last push for the two charities! Kev
