Following numerous discussions with friends and family, different ideas, and lots of brainstorming for various different events, I finally got my light bulb moment and have decided to host a Charity Table Quiz night in Dtwos, all in aid of Barnardos Ireland and Blossom Ireland. The two amazing Irish children charities that the 100minds team are working with this year to make their goals a reality.

Never before had I done something quite on this scale, so I was excited to start the planning, yet at the same time I was extremely anxious! I began my planning by writing everything down in a dedicated 100minds event journal, which has become my lifeline, I don't leave the house without it.

Dtwo nightclub, where I will be hosting my event this Thursday the 19th of February, were kind enough to donate their venue to me free of charge for the night. With only two days left to go until the kick off of the event, it really is shaping up to be a great night. I have received some really amazing prizes for the raffle and have been so appreciative of everyone's generosity in donating prizes.

Wow two heads are definitely better than one!!

I have decided to partner with another member of the 100minds team in order to combine our efforts in reaching our minimum target of €1,000 each. Ruth and I had our first brainstorming session this evening to try and come up with different, fun and attractive fund raising events which we can do in order to reach our goal for Barnardos and Blossom Ireland. The session was very enjoyable and we have identified some really positive potential ideas for our project.

Ideas ranging from a Mystery Tour, Movie Screening, Coffee Morning and more, it will be tough choosing which events we are going to pursue. We have each taken on a few tasks to complete for our next meeting and devised a plan on how we will whittle down our options. So now it is time to get cracking!!!

I cant wait to see what we can achieve as a team.

With only one day left to go until the Charity Table Quiz Night in Dtwo, things are really beginning to take shape. With the majority of my raffle prizes now secured and collected, people are racing to get their teams registered. Considering I had never organized a Pub Quiz before, things seem to be coming together quite nicely, with many of my friends now being roped into helping with last minute details.

My biggest strength in this whole process has definitely been my friends and family. The support that they have shown me throughout has been incredible and their promotion of the event itself. Whether it be spreading the word on social media through liking and sharing the event on Facebook, or through word of mouth to other classmates, colleagues and neighbours. All of this combined has made the organising of the Charity Table Quiz event really fun and exciting.
