I have organised a Christmas Tree Photo Competition on Facebook as part of my 100minds campaign. In order to enter there is a minimum donation of €3 and the winner will be the photo which receives the most “likes”. The prize is a €100 voucher for Dundrum Town Centre and the winner will be announced on December 22nd.

Congratulations to Maedhbh Delahunt whose Christmas tree photo received 105 "likes" making her the winner of the Christmas Tree Photo Competition.

Thank you to everyone who supported the Facebook competition. The page had a total of 164 followers and over €500 was raised through this initiative.

I will keep you posted on my next ideas over the coming weeks.

Myself and my class mate Sophie Molloy, who is also a 100minds participant, decided to team up and organise a night out for our Business and Law class. We decided to hold the event in my house and then onto a club afterwards.

We asked everyone to donate €15 on the night in exchange for free drinks, entry into a raffle and free entry into Madison Nightclub. Thank you to Richmond Marketing, Cassidy Wines and M Bolger Fairview Ltd who generously donated alcohol and soft drinks for the event. We received sponsorship of raffle prizes from Applegreen, Leisureplex, Rainforest Adventure Golf, Grafton Barber and Dowlings Pharmacy. Madison Nightclub kindly provided free entry for everyone.

The night was a great success with over fifty of our class mates coming along to support us. We raised an incredible €850 on the night. Thank you to everyone who sponsored us and supported our campaign.

On Saturday last I invited friends and family around for Afternoon Tea. It was a lovely way to spend the afternoon and the generosity was amazing. A total of €563 was raised on the day and I am delighted to have exceeded the target of €1,000.

None of this would have been possible without the efforts of my mum, Rachael, Mary, Sarah and Carol who all baked a variety of cakes for everyone to enjoy. I am extremely grateful for all the hard work they put in and would like say a big thank you. I would also like to thank everyone who came on the day and supported my 100minds campaign.
