Hi Everyone!
Thank you so much for visiting my donation page.
As 1 of 100 students taking part in the 100minds fundraising initiative I hope to aid the overall fundraising goal of €100,000.
By each student playing a small part, by each raising €1,000 we can all make a huge difference to the lives of so many children. Every penny that you donate will go straight to Temple Street Children's Hospital.
As most of you will already know, I have been an energetic fundraiser for the LauraLynn Childrens Hospice for many years. After hearing about the 100 minds initiative I immediately wanted to be a part of it. A sad realisation is that there are so many sick children in Ireland and I have made it my mission to try to reach out to as many of them as possible, from LauraLynn to Temple Street.
In order to do this I will try to emulate the more successful of my fundraising ventures over the past few years.
The first will be Carol Singing in Temple Bar on December 20th. I have applied for a permit from the Gardai a few weeks ago and have been given the go ahead. I will post specifics closer to the time but please do save the date if you would like to have a group of college students serenade you on a cold Christmas night!
I will soon be thinking of other initiatives and ways to reach my fundraising goal but it will be difficult until I return home from my semester in Sweden at Christmas time. So, until then I hope you can help out a brilliant cause and start donating.
Past fundraising efforts will demonstrate that with your help I will reach my goal, and we will all have a fun time while doing so!
Thank you in advance, Sibeal.

The first fundraiser on the agenda will be carol singing on Grafton Street on the 20th of December. We got a great time slot, 5pm, which will catch every one coming out of work. Hopefully I will be able to gather enough people to have a big enough crowd there. Having done this fundraiser every year for the past 7 years it always proves to be great fun and raise a lot of money. if any one would like to lend their voice (however crowish!) please contact me as numbers are really the most important thing. After the carol singing for all the tired and dry vocal chords we will all go back to my house to re-hydrate with mulled wine and congratulatory beer!
Carol Singing

Amidst the thunder storm on the 20th of December we went ahead with the carol singing on Grafton Street and I was so glad we did. 20 loyal friends braved the weather with me and we spent 2 hours getting soaked while we sang Christmas carols. In the end we raised €700 which was a fantastic result. Thanks to everyone who helped and also to every one who donated. Almost at €1000 - final push now!!
