I am very excited to get involved in 100minds. I decided to apply for this amazing opportunity because I have always been very interested in raising money and working with charities.
The idea for 100 students to raise 1000 euro each is a great way to show the power of a group of people. It shows that despite my 1000 euro not necessarily being able to make a huge difference by pulling together, we can achieve so much.
What attracted me most to this project was the charity it is sponsoring. Since it was founded, Temple’s Street Hospital has been home to children of all ages, many of whom suffer from severe illnesses. Some of these children have faced more severe health issues, and have had to deal with a lot more than many adults have had to face in a lifetime. No one could say that this charity deserves all of the money it can get.
Temples Street not only acts as a hospital to so many children and their families, but as a home away from home. Not only will the money we raise go towards life saving machinery but it will also help make temple street childrens hospital a more welcoming and comfortable place for its patients to spend time in.
Over the next 3 months I hope to carry out a number of events in order to raise much needed Funds for Temple Street
I will update any progress I have on this page throughout the months so please keep checking my page!
Donate And Date for Temple Street

Straight after our exams in December myself and two other participants decided to host a Date Auction in Kielys Pub Mount Merrion. As nothing like this had ever been done before for our age group, we found that people were very excited about it. Our dates ranged from different colleges across Dublin and we put a lot of effort into our event page to attract an audience.

We got great support from everleigh gardens nightclub, the counter, eddie rockets and many other restaurants and cinemas in Dublin to donate vouchers for people to use on their dates.
The night was a huge success as over 200 people attended the event and over 1500 euro was fundraised.
