On the 28th of December myself and 3 other participants from 100minds are holding a Tag Rugby Event in Old Belvedere Rugby Club. There will be 24 teams of 10-15 players involved on the day and a night out organised in Madison night club afterwards. The event is now sold out but everyone is welcome to join us on the day to support and go to Madison afterwards. Here is the link to the event:

All donations will be hugely appreciated and will go straight to the fantastic cause.

We are delighted that we now have 24 teams for 10-12 signed up for the event. Leinster Rugby have also agreed to supply the tag sets and present prizes on the day. A number of companies have very generously donated prizes for a raffle on the day too. We are now looking into food sponsorship and finalising other logistics to ensure everything will run smoothly on the day!

Myself, Ronan, Mick and Paul were absolutely delighted with how the event went overall. To date we have raised 6,108.68 euro and donations are still coming in. A huge thank you must go to Wanderers RFC who supplied the venue last minute due to the weather conditions, Dominic Ryan from Leinster Rugby for providing all the rugby supplies, Donnybrook Fair for the prizes and KC Peaches for the food. Madison nightclub also very kindly provided free entry for all players to their club that night and gave 50% of all money at the door to the cause. It was a fantastic day and night which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Overall for us it was a great experience organising it and working with so many people to pull off something we are very proud of while raising funds for a cause we really care about.

It is now the final week of 100minds. I feel so proud to be part of this team to have achieved so much in such a short space of time. Since we started fundraising on November 17th we've collectively raised over €120,000 to date with still a few days to go for Temple Street Children’s Hospital. The long term benefits this will have to thousands of children is incredible. This skills I have developed, the people I have met and the things I have learnt all add to this fantastic experience. I am so grateful for this experience and will always be delighted to say I was part of 100minds.

Last night we had the closing ceremony of 100minds which was a fantastic ending to a hugely successful project. It was a great opportunity to meet all the other participants, mentors, co-founders and representatives from Temple Street hospital again. It made me realise the amount that we achieved and gained from the whole experience. Having the opportunity to contribute such a significant sum to a cause very close to my heart while greatly improving my employability and life skills was unique and something I feel very privileged to have been part of. I met an inspiring network of people throughout the process that taught me a huge amount and most of all given me a new level of confidence to achieve my career goals. I am very excited to see what 100minds will achieve in the years to come.
