Mahatma Ghandi once said 'nobody can hurt me without permission',this in essence is true but for hundreds of children confined to their beds in Temple Street children's hospital this isn't their reality. They have been dealt a hand unwarranted by any concept of what 'should be '.As a young, energetic student full of curiosity and expectations for life it is easy to forget sometimes just how easy you have it. This acknowledgment isn't enough though, actions speak louder than words and often we find ourselves ranting and raving about causes and concepts but not actually mobilising ourselves into doing anything about it. My aim for the duration of 100 minds is to raise 1000 euros for Temple Street but I want to do it in the most constructive way I can.I want to utilize what has given me a renewed appreciation and love of life, what makes me leap out of bed every morning exited for what lies ahead, practising yoga has given me this. Of course all donations will be appreciated however big or small but aswell as investing in the treatment of these sick children I want everybody to really realise how lucky they are.I want you to invest in yourself, take an hour out of your day to relax and restore your body and mind.Sit in silence ,thankful for your existance, that no harm or ill health has come into your path. Then through a serious of yoga postures we can restore physically, stretch out our muscles, massage our organs, appreciate they are allowing us to live and function every single minute of the day. So come and join me on this journey, let us give these children the best possible chance of living the lives so many of us take for granted,we have our bodies, spirits and minds so lets use them.Nothing is ever as bad at the end of yoga practise as it was at the beginning but don't take my word for it.I will be holding classes for individuals, clubs, sports teams, anybody who agree's with anything I have said above.I am so exited about this, about giving back the children and everybody that comes to a class the appreciation and love of life I'm so lucky to have learned through this beautiful art of yoga! Information on classes will follow but please don't hesitate to get in touch.
