My name is Andrew Lynch and I am a second year Commerce student at University College Dublin.
100minds is a non-profit organisation that brings together 100 of Ireland's most ambitious graduate and undergraduate students and connects them with one cause to achieve big goals in a short space of time.
I am extremely pleased to be a part of this years campaign in aid of Temple Street Children's Hospital. This is my personal profile page where I will be documenting my efforts and keeping you all up to date on my fundraising plans.
100% of all donations will go directly towards Temple Street Children's Hospital. Please give what you can and help me reach my target of 1000E and our collective goal of 100K!
Details regarding our spend plan can be found here: http://100minds.org/assets/spend-breakdown.pdf .
Every donation, however big or small is greatly appreciated!
Thank you to the UO...

I would just like to say a quick thank you to Sinead Conroy and the University Observer for agreeing to write an article about the efforts of the UCD students participating in 100minds.
If anyone is interested, the article appeared in the November 26th edition and free copies should still be available throughout campus!

First event confirmed!
Posted: over 9 years ago
This week I have managed to confirm my first event.
St Brigid's Girl's School in Cabinteely have been very generous in offering their support for the 100minds campaign. Together, we have managed to agree on an event that will be easy to run and most importantly fun for the kids involved. We have decided to host a Christmas themed, non-uniform day with various games and prizes to be provided throughout the day. The event will be held on Friday the 13th of December, the last day of term and the perfect way to start the holidays.
Each student will be asked to bring in 2E on the day and email's/texts will go out to parents mid-week as a reminder!

School fun day raises €500 + details about another event!

On the 14th of December I held a Christmas themed, non-uniform/fun-day at St Brigid's GNS, Cabinteely. The day was a great success raising €500 and leaving me only €70 short of my overall target! I am still very keen to raise as much as I possibly can, so, on the 26th of this month five friends and I will take part in Hell and Back - “Ireland’s toughest physical and mental challenge” at Kilruddery House, Co. Wicklow! We are looking to secure as much sponsorship as we can so if you can please donate!
Thanks again to Mrs Sweeney and everyone at St Brigid's GNS for accommodating me, especially the students and their parents who donated so generously.

Target reached but more fundraising ahead!
Posted: about 9 years ago
I am delighted to have reached the €1000 milestone! A massive thank you again to everyone who has donated.
However, with only 5 days remaining until I attempt Hell and Back I want to try and raise even more money for Temple Street Children's Hospital. I may have reached my target but the overall goal of 100 minds is to raise €100,000. This will improve the hospital infrastructure, enhance patient quality of life and support families in need.
We have already raised an unbelievable €71,000 but with less than 40 days fundraising remaining we need your help in making up the shortfall. If anyone would like to donate to an incredible cause and support us in our Hell and Back attempt they can do so using their debit/credit card after clicking on the "donate now" button.
Cheers,
Andy
Hell and Back!

Nearly a week and a half on from Hell and Back and I'm still feeling the effects..it was brutally cold but hilarious!
Massive thank you to the five lads (Col, Jack, Ste, Mig and Hudson) who completed it with me and helped me raise over €600! I'd also like to thank everyone who has donated so far..only just over €11,000 to go until our target of €100,000 is reached!
Thanks,
Andy
