Hi Everyone!

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to visit my 100minds profile page.

I am both extremely excited and honoured to call myself a participant for 100minds this year. I have always strived to promote social awareness for many charities throughout the years, challenging myself as well as encouraging others to do the same.

It was quite a surreal moment to discover I had been accepted to take part in such an incredible project. Last year, 100minds showed us what could be achieved when you harness the power of a large group of amazing people. This year, it is the ideas of 150 university students that will create a positive impact in today’s society by aiming to raise €150,000 in 100 days for two incredible Irish charities, Barnardos and Blossom Ireland.

Barnardos works with vulnerable children and their families, campaigning for their rights while providing them with services and support around the country. Blossom Ireland sets out to help children with intellectual disabilities, providing after school programs designed to help these children develop confidence and get the most out of education. For more information on these fantastic charities, please click on the following link: http://www.100minds.org/blossom-barnardos

During the course of the next 100 days I will be organising and hosting events to raise funds for these amazing charities and hopefully, with your help, raise in excess of €1,000. I will keep you all posted through the brainstorming, development and execution of these events so please stay tuned. If you have any questions or ideas, please contact me at geoghek@tcd.ie.

So how can you help? By simply clicking on the big red “DONATE NOW” button. No matter how big or small your contribution is, every cent is really appreciated and will make a big difference. All proceeds received will go DIRECTLY to each of the charities. For a breakdown of where the proceeds are going, please click on the following link: https://people.100minds.org/spend-breakdown

I want to thank you all in advance for your help and support during the coming weeks. Together, we can create an even BIGGER and BETTER year for 100minds and most importantly help these fantastic charities change the lives of Irish children.

Katie :)
