I am delighted to have been chosen to be a 100minds participant this year. 100minds is a volunteer-run, non profit organisation, founded in 2013, that brings together some of Ireland’s top students and connects them with one cause to achieve big goals in a short space of time. The work of 100minds has a huge impact on the lives of many children in Ireland. Last year 100minds raised €138,000 for Temple Street Childrens Hospital.

This year we are going to make a huge impact again with the goal of raising over €150,000 for two amazing charities, Barnardos and Blossom Ireland.

Barnardos work with over 8,900 children and families annually providing direct services, advice and practical support in 40 centres, based in some of the most disadvantaged communities in Ireland. Their work focuses on improving the life prospects of children who face barriers like poverty, abuse, neglect or bereavement. http://www.barnardos.ie/what-we-do.html

Blossom Ireland offers children with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to access what every other typically developing child can without difficulty. Through the running of educational and fun camps, these special children can learn important skills meet new friends and receive occupational therapy. http://www.blossomireland.ie/default.asp

I cannot wait to put my plans into action and raise as much money as I can for these two worthy charities. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and please feel free to contact me if you require any more information on the events I will be organising or more information on 100minds. Please click the red “DONATE NOW” button, as with your support we can make a major impact for these two deserving charities.
